PGInvIT is the largest public InvIT IPO in India and first by a PSU Sponsor raising INR 7,735 Cr as a mix of primary issue and OFS by the sponsor. POWERGRID (the sponsor) is the Largest Power Transmission company in the country and is ranked as the Fastest Growing Electric Utility in the ‘Asia/Pacific Rim’ region for 7 successive years since 2014.
The deal was launched at a price band of INR 99 to INR 100 per unit. The proceeds from fresh issue will be utilized towards providing loans to the Initial Portfolio Assets for repayment or pre-payment of debt, including any accrued interest.

The issue received strong interest from marquee investors across the globe in spite of the hard hitting second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic & volatile capital markets, which is a testimony to the conviction investors have built in POWERGRID (the sponsor) over the years.
Axis Capital led the marketing efforts for PGInvIT with early conversion of some of the most marquee institutional investors. The deal witnessed strong participation from marquee long only investors across the globe. 100% anchor book was allocated to Long Only Investors (~46% to FIIs and ~54% to DIIs).
