Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited, a leading integrated metal producing company, raised INR 909 Cr in its IPO. The deal witnessed participation from marquee Institutional investors (~49% to FIIs and ~51% to DIIs) in spite of COVID-19 hurdle and multiple other ongoing capital market transactions and ~96% of the anchor book was allocated to long-only investors.
The IPO received strong response from investors across the board with the main book garnering over INR 78,000 Cr:

Axis Capital leveraged its pan-India retail distribution network, which led to wide participation by over 21 lakh investors and generated momentum for the deal by getting early anchor interest from a large institutional investor.
